The Times BFI London Film Festival (LFF)

Taking place every November, The Times BFI London Film Festival (LFF) showcases the best new films from around the world, here in London.

It is an international event which both attracts some of the most glamorous names in the film world and makes available rare and little known work which would otherwise not be seen in the UK. The festival screens an array of both short films and features - the majority of which are UK premieres - alongside a host of live events, special commissions, screen talks and masterclasses.

Differing from many other European films festivals, the LFF is primarily about bringing film to the public. Screenings take place in the West End, at the National Film Theatre and at selected cinemas across the capital, and many of these events are attended by the people involved in making the films, from actors and directors to producers and stuntmen.

Film London works with the London Film Festival to bring the excitement of cinema to London audiences. 'Film in the City' has made festival films available to local London cinemas across the capital, whilst special outdoor screenings in Trafalgar Square have attracted new audiences to the festival.
