Digital Film Archive Fund

Image of Neil Brand playing a piano accompaniment to silent archive footage - part of the 2008 London Loves screening event in Trafalgar SquareThe Digital Film Archive Fund has been set up to increase public access to regional screen heritage.

This region has £219,000 available to award over two years from 2008 - 2010 to support innovative programmes ensuring wider access to the UK's screen heritage.

Projects must focus on public engagement with screen heritage and could take a variety of forms including film-making/new commissions, exhibition, distribution, broadcast, online, education or participatory work.

Commissioned projects need to:

  • Deliver widespread public access to screen heritage
  • Create widespread public value from access to screen heritage and evidence supporting it

Every UK region will fund at least one project which addresses the theme of 'home' - perhaps what 'home' might mean in a particular place or region or to a particular community.

The Digital Film Archive Fund is currently closed.
