Thunderbirds are go in Trafalgar Sqaure...
Thunderbirds is the most ambitious project to date undertaken by Working Title Films (the makers of Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill, Bridget Jones's Diary and Love Actually).
Based on the cult favourite '60s British television series of the same name, it follows the adventures of the Tracy family and their astounding fleet of International Rescue vehicles.
A 60 foot high and 7 tonne replica of Thunderbird 3 was placed in the heart of the capital to celebrate the opening of the film. Film London helped to arrange this unique film event with the Mayor of London's office, who run Trafalgar Square.
The amazing final scenes of the film were shot in and around the centre of London. Thunderbirds makes use of the fantastic locations the city has to offer and highlights many popular sites such as Tower Bridge and the BA London Eye. As Thunderbird 2 soars over the Thames, its spectacular flight shows off London as you have never seen it before.
